The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) is the state-level entrance test and counselling system for professional programmes in Odisha. This guide explains which courses it covers, how the 2026 cycle ran, what to expect for 2027, and how to use OJEE alongside JEE Main.

What Is OJEE?

OJEE is conducted by the OJEE Committee under the Government of Odisha. It runs a computer-based entrance test for several programmes and the centralised counselling that allots seats in participating government and private institutions across the state.

OJEE 2027: What to Expect

The OJEE Committee has not released the 2027 notification. If the 2026 pattern repeats, registration may open around late January 2027 and the examination may be held in early May 2027. Treat these as planning estimates and follow ojee.nic.in for the official schedule.

Pillar Insight

OJEE often holds a second or special examination to fill vacant seats. If you miss the main exam or want another attempt, watch for that notice.

OJEE vs. JEE Main for Odisha Students

For B.Tech, JEE Main ranks are used in OJEE counselling, so most B.Tech aspirants take JEE Main and register for OJEE counselling. OJEE's own tests matter most for the other programmes — pharmacy, nursing, lateral entry, MBA, MCA and postgraduate technical courses.
