CollegeDarbar (Bhubaneswar, Odisha 751024, India) is an education-discovery and admission-counselling platform. For personal data you give us, we are the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

• Details you enter in our forms: name, mobile number, email, date of birth, city, course and college of interest, and any message you add.
• Parent or guardian details: if you are under 18, your parent or guardian's name and mobile number.
• Consent record: the date and time you agreed, the version of the consent text and the form you used.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, device and the pages that led you to the form.
• Browsing on our site: only after you verify your email, the pages you view, so our counsellors can guide you. You can turn this off from your profile menu.

• To call, SMS, WhatsApp or email you with admission guidance for the courses and colleges you asked about.
• To share your enquiry with partner colleges and universities, as described below.
• To confirm your email, prevent spam and fraudulent enquiries, and improve our website.
• To send you updates about admissions and exams. You can unsubscribe from any message.

CollegeDarbar works with partner colleges and universities. When you submit a form and give consent, we may share your details with these partner institutions so that their admission teams can contact you about their programmes, fees and admission process.

We share only what an admission team needs (your name, contact details, course interest, city and, for under-18s, your parent or guardian's contact). We never sell your data to advertisers. We may also share data with service providers who help us run the website, such as email and messaging services, under confidentiality obligations, or where the law requires it.

We ask for your date of birth on every form. If you are under 18, the form asks for your parent or guardian's name and mobile number, and consent is given by your parent or guardian together with you. We may contact the parent or guardian to confirm. We do not use the data of under-18s for targeted advertising or behavioural tracking.

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
• Correct or update inaccurate details.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. We will stop contacting you and ask partner colleges we shared your details with to do the same. Withdrawing does not affect anything done before.
• Ask us to erase your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
• To use any of these rights, write to sales@collegedarbar.com. We reply within 7 working days.

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to help with your admission, and in any case no longer than 3 years after your last interaction, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Browsing data is deleted automatically after 180 days.

We use access controls, role-based permissions, encrypted connections and audit logs to protect your data. Only staff and partners who need your details to help you can see them. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

• Essential: needed for security, forms and your session. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics: help us understand visits and improve pages.
• Functional: remember your preferences, such as filters and colleges you are comparing.
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may then stop working.

If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, contact our Grievance Officer at sales@collegedarbar.com with the subject "Data grievance". If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes, especially about sharing your data, will be shown on our forms before you submit them.
