Editorial Policy

The standards used to commission, write, review, update and disclose CollegeDarbar editorial content.

Authorship and review

  • New articles should identify an individual author whenever an accountable subject-matter contributor is available.
  • A reviewer is recorded separately when factual or specialist review is performed. Organization-authored legacy content is labelled as such and is not presented as a verified individual author.

Source standards

  • We prioritize regulator, government, examination-authority, ranking-body and institution-owned sources.
  • Material numerical claims should include a source URL, applicable year and collection or access date.

Evergreen and timely content

  • Evergreen rankings, comparisons and guides belong under /article. News, admission alerts and announcements belong under /blog.
  • Changing a year in a title is not considered a meaningful update.

Commercial disclosure

  • Advertising, counselling relationships or featured placements must be distinguishable from editorial conclusions.
